In mid 2004, friends Billy Wilcosky and Ryan Enloe put aside their solo ambitions and joined forces under the band name, "The Rhyme & Reason To". Their acoustic work was an immediate hit amongst listeners. The two enjoyed moderate successes, but both wanted to head in a different direction.

 

When Ryan called drummer and long-time friend Cris Cortes, the duo put aside their acoustics for electric guitars, and combined with Cortes' unique rhythmic styling, gave birth to the powerful Harmonic Rock/Power Pop sound that is Chasing Katie! But, the band was not complete. Despite heavy praise as a trio, the guys knew to truly represent the quality of their songs, they would need a skilled bassist to bring depth and round out the band's potent, but sometimes light, breed of songwriting. Such bassist was found in Adam Davenport, long time guitarist/bassist and accomplished songwriter.

 

Drawing on such influences as The Beatles, U2, Jimmy Eat World and more, Chasing Katie has quickly amassed a repertoire of 30 original songs ranging from coffee shop foot tappers, to sleep inducing ballads, all the way up to fist-shaking rock anthems! Their first single, "We're Ready" can be heard on East Coast radios and wherever good music is played.
